Hey Dummies (part 4)

read carefully:

psychotropic drugs do not cure anything.

they do not correct anything.

they do not balance anything.

in fact, they are out-performed by placebos. that means taking nothing works better than taking a psychotropic drug.

they do however, kill brain cells, cause imbalances, create addictions and render the person less able to resolve the core issues he or she is facing.

some may argue that they are necessary in extreme cases, but in view of the fact that they cause suicidal and homicidal thoughts in people who had never experienced such things before and the fact that they drive formerly non-violent people to extreme violence, it is clear that any possible benefit or use as a “chemical straight jacket” is wildly variable at best and extremely dangerous at worst.

many, many people take drugs for many different reasons. from alcohol to heroin, drugs serve a definite purpose in the mind of the addict. there is no question here as to whether or not mental stress exists. clearly it does. the point is that there is a lie on the subject of prescription psychotropic drugs. and the lie is that they are different from alcohol or heroin.

the marketing line says they are medical drugs when they serve no medical purpose.

this is not an antibiotic. this is not a blood thinner. this is not a hormone. this is not insulin.

Microwaves

Posted: March 3rd, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 7 Comments »

it is a sign of the times we are living in that people become shocked and intensely impressed when they find out how i make popcorn. in a pot, on the stove, with some olive oil.

i hate microwaves. i won’t use them. not even for the smallest, quickest task. i’ll even go out of my way to ask the waitress if a microwave was employed in the preparation of my food- and if so, take it away. yep- i am that much of a freak. and why not?

there’s a reason they say “nuke it”.

microwaves heat using radiation- this process kills any and all nutritional value and leaves you with dead, indigestible and sometimes poisonous food.

a substitute technology worth looking into is far-infrared technology. popular in Japan, far-infrared appliances include: ovens, egg cookers, heating pads and even personal saunas. far-infrared waves are not dangerous to human health. in fact, the opposite is true. the far-infrared wave is the natural wave emanated by living organisms, including human bodies. when you sleep next to someone, your body is exchanging far-infrared waves with their body. far-infrared waves increase circulation and therefore clean the blood. it has also been proven that food cooked with far-infrared appliances are very high in anti-oxidants. it is no wonder that the Japanese are deeply concerned about the dangerous effects of GMO’s on human health. unfortunately these appliances are not always available in the U.S., but i’m sure you can find them online.

let me know if you’ve ever used far-infrared technology.

Hey Dummies (part 3)

Posted: March 1st, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 9 Comments »

here are a few things for you to try BEFORE placing your 7 year old child on a toxic, addictive, dangerous amphetamine drug for his supposed “learning disorder”.

1) get him an eye exam. many kids who have been “diagnosed” with a “learning disorder” merely had poor vision and needed glasses.

2) stop feeding your child Lucky Charms before you send him off to school. as a matter of fact, cut out all white sugar… it is what sold so many false prescriptions for “ADHD”.

3) ban all artificial sweeteners, like aspartame. these are chemicals not foods. they can especially react upon a small child’s health and behavior.

4) get him checked for food allergies. these can affect concentration.

5) try a tutor you freak. do you honestly think that speed is going to make your kid a genius?

6) curb the t.v. and video game time. these have an obvious effect on I.Q.! instead have him play outside.

7) if the situation continues, why not try a new school? smaller classes, more individual attention.

this is a serious issue. if you guys have ideas on this, please leave them in the comments.

There’s No Need To Buy: (part 4)

Posted: February 26th, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 5 Comments »

we, as a society, have been brainwashed to believe that we need industry in order to live a full life. we have handed over all responsibility to a far off company. we no longer know, nor do we care, how our everyday products are produced. if we did, we would need to buy far less.

we are so starved of such basic knowledge that we are quite at the mercy of the market. and if this trend continues, we will have no other choice but to consume that which is made available, no matter the quality.

somewhere amidst the colorful billboards, air-brushed commercials, clever slogans and glamorous magazine ads, we have forgotten that companies are for profit and that quality is often sacrificed for such.

it is no mistake that the food made popular by advertising encourages unhealthy conditions which lead to the sale of drugs.

it is no mistake that drugs made popular by advertising are meant not to heal, but to “maintain” conditions by constant use. and it is not by accident that these are very addictive.

personally, i do not own a television. to me it is quite a scary thought that millions of people over the country are watching the same images at the same time. i, for one, do not want to have the same experience as everyone else. i find that watching t.v. stifles my motivation and creativity as well as my individual thought. where a great movie will inspire and encourage action, t.v. only sedates.

imagine all the extra time you will have on your hands when you stop watching t.v.! just enough time to learn how to make things yourself. just enough time to stop being a slave to the market.

There’s No Need To Buy: (part 3)

hair products!

you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on shampoos, conditioners, gels, hair sprays, etc. in order to have great hair!

the overuse of product leads to dry, frizzy, hair which leads to the use of more product.

the first step is to stop shampooing everyday. the second step is to stop shampooing with harsh detergents. conventional shampoos contain industrial solvents because they are cheap. quality organic shampoos are great but too expensive.

here are some great recipes to make your own hair products at home, hair products which are free from harsh chemicals.

homemade shampoo- combine 1/4 cup liquid castile soap, 1/4 cup aloe vera gel, 1 teaspoon glycerin and 1/4 teaspoon light vegetable oil. mix well. apply liberally to wet hair.

quick shampoo- mix baking soda and water into a thick paste. apply to roots and scrub. rinse well. works wonderfully.

dry shampoo- between washes excess oil can be tamed with cornstarch or baby powder. apply to roots. a great quick fix.

shiny hair rinse- after shampooing rinse hair apple cider or white vinegar and cool water. the smell won’t stick, don’t worry.

conditioner- mix 5 drops rosemary oil with 1 teaspoon almond or olive oil. work oils through dampened hair. rinse with cool water.

deep conditioner- comb 1/2 a cup of real mayonnaise into damp hair. let sit for 20-30 minutes and rinse with cool water.

conditioning tonic- beat 2 egg yolks until frothy. add 2 teaspoons of gin and beat until foamy. massage into hair and rinse with warm water.

hair spray- boil one halved lemon in 2 cups of water. reduce to one cup. strain and place in a spray bottle. add one ounce of rubbing alcohol to preserve, otherwise store in the refrigerator. salt water also works as a hair texturizer.

dandruff solution- white vinegar is a great dandruff treatment. mix 2 teaspoons vinegar with 6 teaspoons water and apply to scalp. mixture can be left on overnight. you can also try 1 part lemon juice to 2 parts vinegar as a scalp treatment.

the de-frizzing miracle- before bed wrap damp hair in a silk scarf and leave on overnight. you will wake to beautiful silky smooth locks.

Climategate

Posted: February 25th, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 13 Comments »

i knew it was too good to be true! as a lifelong health freak/nature lover i was the perfect target for global warming propaganda. but i always had a feeling, deep down in the pit of my stomach, that the guy behind the podium couldn’t be telling the whole truth…. i guess my instinct was correct.

all the “concern” you see everyday for global warming and the environment, is just another money motivated fraud.

this fraud was exposed in November of last year when thousands of internal e-mails from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the worlds leading authority on global warming, were leaked exposing blatant manipulation of climate data. the scandal has been dubbed “Climategate” by the media.

then there’s the Oregon Petition, a document which has been signed by over 31,000 scientists who agree that there is no convincing evidence that human c02 emissions are causing global warming.

on top of that, we have the 9 lies in Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” and consequently the Academy members who want to take back his Oscar and the petitions to get his Nobel Peace Prize revoked.

so what’s the deal? what’s in it for Al? how do the high priests think they’ll profit from “global warming”?

the answer is: carbon credits. the plan, in a nutshell, is to get laws passed which limit the amount of carbon emissions a single person or company is allowed to create. i imagine this will effect the miles you are allowed travel, the appliances you are allowed to own, etc. but don’t worry- because if you run out you can always buy more on the “carbon exchange”.

how convenient.

Global Warming Polar Bears

Posted: February 24th, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 3 Comments »

of everything i’ve heard about global warming, nothing gets me more than the poor, drowning polar bears! is there anything worse than the suffering of helpless animals?

well, maybe being lied to about the suffering of helpless animals is worse.

According to the Wall Street Journal: “Nearly everyone agrees that there are more polar bears now than when scientists first started counting: Estimates put the population between 20,000 and 25,000, up from several thousand 50 years ago. In Canada, where two-thirds of the world’s bears live, most populations have grown during the past two or three decades. Arctic residents say they are now bumping into bears wherever they turn.’A month ago I was down by my [hunting] camp and I saw five polar bears,’ says Harry Flaherty, chairman of the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board, who lives in Iqaluit. ‘They were so fat, they could barely move.’”

moreover, in a court case filed by a parent who wanted the film “An Inconvenient Truth” taken off school curriculum, British High Court Justice Michael Burton cited 9 inaccuracies in the film. one of which was the poor drowning polar bears.

the judge said: “The only scientific study that either side before me can find is one which indicates that four polar bears have recently been found drowned because of a storm.”

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, furthermore, found that the current bear population is 20,000-25,000, up from 5,000-10,000 in the 1950s and 1960s.

the other 8 lies in “An Inconvenient Truth” are equally interesting. take a minute to google “Al Gore 9 lies”. and ask yourself, what could Al Gore and others gain from public belief that an apocalypse is on it’s way?

There’s No Need To Buy: (part 2)

Posted: February 19th, 2010 | Author: youareb1 | Filed under: Uncategorized | 5 Comments »

i used to make long lists of all the things i wanted to buy. i thought i’d be perfect- if only i could get my hands on a bunch of expensive merchandise. and if it wasn’t expensive- i didn’t want it. needless to say, i have changed. unfortunately, this is a real confusion for many women. i think it’s the product of too much t.v., who knows.

it comes down to one question: to consume or to create? concentrate on the latter and you will be much more satisfied.

here are some tips on how to break the pattern (and save lots of money):

1) instead of spending $15 on a bottle of eye make-up remover- use a bit of olive oil on a cotton ball. you’ll be amazed.

2) temped to buy that $100 conditioning treatment at the salon? do it yourself with an egg yolk and olive oil mask.

3) while we’re at it, why go to the salon at all? lemon juice and sunshine are all you need for beautiful highlights. henna costs $5 and has given me the prettiest shade of red- one a chemical dye could never achieve. and of course there’s hydrogen peroxide. i mix equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide if i want to go a few shades lighter in the summer (use a spray bottle to apply). look we just saved $300.

4) make your own facial mask rather than buying one for $30. beat egg whites until they go thick and foamy. apply, let dry and rinse. plain yogurt is also a great mask.

5) have you ever paid $14.99 on a lip plumping gloss? yuck. try this instead: exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush, then apply lip balm and a touch of cayenne pepper from the spice drawer.

6) to soften feet, douse in olive oil or vaseline and quickly put on a pair of socks (this can be messy). leave on overnight. works better than your $40 pedicure.

7) apple cider vinegar is a good facial toner. one more thing you don’t need to buy.

8) need a new wardrobe? go to the supermarket and buy every color of RIT dye in stock. now the fun begins. tear through your old clothes. dye everything you don’t wear. be creative. when in doubt dye black. i do it on the stove top.

see how easily we can stick it to the man!? if any of you ladies out there have a tip of your own, please leave it in the comments!
